Everyone is excited for the Holidays! For the average freelancer, this is the time to score big bucks by taking in extra jobs or services for clients. Especially those who depend on the Christmas season for most of their sales. Here are some examples of jobs or work you can do over the holidays to earn even more cash.

  1. Seasonal Customer Rep

Every Christmas, online sales double or even triple, that means companies need to hire more manpower to help with customer service and general virtual assistance. What’s great about this job is it’s usually a work-from-home arrangement, making it easy for you to add this to your list of jobs. No experience required.

  1. Personal Shopper

You have no idea how many people would pay for this kind of service. Those who don’t have the time but have the cash to spend a little extra on having someone shop for gifts for them are your perfect target market. You could even charge a little extra for home deliveries straight to the recipient and use Lalamove or GrabExpress to achieve it.

  1. Sell Off Second-Hand Items

People are in their spend modes during the holidays, and some of them want to stick to a budget by buying second-hand items as gifts instead. Take advantage of this by selling off your old books, gadgets, toys, etc. online through Facebook Marketplace or Carousel.

  1. Holiday Writer

Since most companies are at their busiest during the holidays, they usually end up hiring even more people. That includes freelance writers to create blog posts about their products geared toward the holidays.

  1. Marketing (Social Media or Email)

Email is still an important way to market products especially during this time of the year. Try accepting in more clients who want to increase the number of emails or posts they’re sharing this month. All you need is great writing skills and a little bit of patience in learning the email software.

  1. Sell Baked Goods

Cookies, brownies, smores, crinkles, you name it. Anything baked that can be given as a gift (and packaged nicely) will do well this Christmas. Bake from home and sell online, just be sure to have cute packaging and a solid recipe and you’re good to go.

  1. Event Staff or Manager

Christmas Parties happen almost every day in December and offering your services as either an Event Staff or Manager can earn you big bucks in the span of a month. You can even charge a special “holiday date” considering it’s already December.

  1. Flip Stuff

It’s a common but effective way to earn. Buy cheap goods at your local flea markets like divisoria or Dapitan Arcade, flip it by having it cleaned or refurbished for a cheap price (or DIY), then re-sell it for a higher price online. This especially works well for furniture or home-use items.

There are so many more options for you to try out. You can also check out the online jobs PH and other online work-from-home sites as there are dozens of companies looking for temp work over the holidays.
