The Freelancer Christmas Shopping Guide

It’s already December and if you still haven’t figured out what presents to get yourself or your freelancer friends, this guide is for you. Being a freelancer means that you have control over your own finances, that also means knowing when to hold back and when to splurge. Learn to treat yourself right this year with these useful gifts that aren’t just for show.

  1. Witty graphic designer pencils and pens

Into the arts? Having some pencils and pens with witty sayings on them can be a great gift for you. It’s not only great on IG photos but can actually be used when you get the sudden dose of inspiration.

  1. Laptop accessories

Freelancers are nomads. We can work whenever, wherever. That most likely means we’re almost always carrying a laptop. Upgrade your accessories and even your laptop bag to make you look professional to clients while giving you comfort and efficiency with newer, updated stuff.

  1. Planners

There are a bunch of planners out there - Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf have one each. Moleskin is always a good choice. There are also a lot of local ones in the Common Room or Frankie & Friends to choose from. An essential way to not only track our schedule but our bullet journals as well.

  1. Powerbanks or extension cords

Another useful tool for the traveling worker. Make it easy on yourself by getting a good power bank with the max Mah available or an extension cord that allows you to charge all your devices with that single plug at CBTL.

  1. Truly wireless headphones/earphones

Getting Bluetooth headphones/earphones would be a big help especially for those quick meetings while you’re on the go- driving, jogging, or even shopping. You never know when headphones would come in handy (especially wireless ones).

  1. Anti-theft bag

Size can vary depending on the type you need. It can be a travel bag if you’re into traveling, it could also be a backpack for your cityscape adventures. Make sure it can fit all your gadgets (+ more like tumbler, an extra shirt, etc.).

Anything you get yourself can be a great way to reward yourself with your own hard-earned money for the year. Be careful not to overspend though (you can check out some of our spending tips here). Here are more of our holiday tips.

Happy Holidays from the ALLCARE team!
